Specially designed for use with ice machines, the Everpure 4SI & 7SI water filters offer dirt reduction, scale protection and reduced slime, all in a single cartridge. This water filter is unique from other Everpure water filters; it does not remove chlorine - intentionally!
In certain applications, such as bakeries or any establishment that is baking bread and pastries, there is air borne yeast present. If you also have an ice maker, and that ice maker has a water filter on it (which is absolutely should) then you need a water filter that doesn't remove the chlorine from the water. If it does, then the absence of chlorine and the presence of yeast will cause slime build up inside the machine.
Everpure 4SI and 7SI water filters allow chlorine to pass into the ice machine. Not only does this address the slime problem but it also facilitates compliance with ASHRAE Standard 188 in hospital and healthcare facilities.
This water filter is ideal for use with high capacity, high volume and high flow ice machines. For cube ice makers producing 2400+ pounds of ice per day and flaker ice makers producing 5000+ pounds of ice per day.
